Cherimoya also in the family of the Guanabana is a fruit with a white and creamy flesh embedded with many dark brown seeds. This creamy flesh gives the fruit its alternative name custard apple. Many have characterized the flavor as a blend of banana, pineapple, papaya, peach, and strawberry. The fruit can be chilled and eaten with a spoon which is why its also nicknamed, ice cream fruit.
