Fruit of the Week: TEJOCOTE

 

Tecojote is a fruit that is native to Mexico and Guatemala. The Tecojote resembles a sort of mini apple with its interior texture and is eaten cooked, raw, or canned. It is one of the main ingredients used in PONCHE, a warm Mexican fruit punch made a with fresh fruit pieces and fresh sugar canes that is served during the holiday season, which is available here at Pete’s throughout the Holiday season!
